Winter
The week before Christmas a friend and student Jennifer Derge helped me one day clean up the site. It's started to look like a real place. The porch roof needs facia, the stucco needs to be completed and I'm pretty sure I'll cob about 1/3 of the way up the pillars. But it's looking pretty good..."she said after eight years on task"....but remember if several people worked consistently and didn't have to stop to teach school, it could easily be done within a year's time.
Below: Early January made it up for a day before school starts to begin a little stone landscaping on the face of the terrace and got this very big stone set. Pretty good view of NE corner or the building.
Please ignore the temporary rain/stone gutters on the ground. I have yet to figure out just how I want to do gutters. A french drain, yes...gutters might wait until Persian porch in front of building as I'd rather have that support snow-laden gutters than all-important porch structure.
